The new xSuite parameter OCI_NEW_MODE is available for OCI catalogs. If this parameter is activated, the OCI catalogs are called by the function module MMPUROCI_PRODUCT_SEARCH (similar to transaction ME51N).

When using the function module MMPUROCI_PRODUCT_SEARCH, the OCI catalog can be called via HTTP GET or HTTP POST.

In order to use the new mode, the SAP Customizing settings for web services must be adjusted (transaction SPRO → Materials Management → Purchasing → Environment Data → Web Services: ID and Description).

Here you can use the Use HTTP GET checkbox to define whether HTTP POST or HTTP GET is used. When the checkbox is activated, HTTP GET is used. The call structure is identical to the call structure in table TMW03 that was previously used.
