Licensing
When rental licenses are imported and saved in xSuite license management (transaction /WMDBC/LICM), former perpetual licenses are now deleted. As before, it is not possible to switch from rental licenses back to perpetual licenses.
Users can now automatically receive emails warning them that a rental license is about to expire or that the document volume has been exceeded. An email is sent when one of the following warning levels for the document volume or expiration date has been reached.
Warnings regarding document volume:
Warning level | Description |
|---|---|
1 | 90% of the document volume has been used up. |
2 | 95% of the document volume has been used up. |
3 | 99% of the document volume has been used up. |
Warnings regarding expiration date:
Warning level | Description |
|---|---|
1 | The rental license expires in 10 days. |
2 | The rental license expires in 5 days. |
3 | The rental license expires in 1 day. |
Email notification must be activated in customizing as follows:
Call up transaction SWETYPV and create an event receiver with the following details:
Call up transaction /WMD/XF_TXTPL and set up an event receiver with the following details:
Language key: EN
User role: MAIL
Text shortcut: XSLICWARN

The email receiver can be specified in the template using the text variable <SEND_TO>. If no receiver is specified, the value of the XF_LICENSE_MAIL parameter will be used (default:
license@xsuite.com).The text variable <SUBJECT> is used as the email subject. The variables &SID& (SAP system), &CLNT& (SAP client), &APPL& (xSuite application), &DAT& (expiration date) and &DOCS& (remaining number of documents) can also be used.
