Archive document version history
Archive documents are versioned. This means that when you edit and save an archive document, a new version is automatically created for the archive document.
In the version history of an archive document, all versions of the archive document are listed. Deleted versions are also listed, but can no longer be opened.
The archive document is not removed from the archive together with its version history until you have deleted the last version of an archive document. For more information, see Deleting archive documents.
You can add a comment on the new version of the archive document before saving. The comment is displayed in the version history.
In addition to the version history, you can view the changes that have been made to an archive document.
Note
Notes that have been added are not saved in the version history because notes are not part of tamper-proof storage.
