Archive document index fields
Index fields are used to record the central data of attachments in a structured way. Index fields are used to search archive documents and attachments. (For more information, see Index-field search.)
The index fields of an archive document are predefined by the document type that the archive document is based on. For example, the index fields "Invoice type" and "Invoice date" can be defined for the document type "Invoice". If an archive document is not based on a document type, no index fields are predefined.
You can create additional index fields for an archive document and edit the values of index fields. Which values you can enter is defined by the index field type that the index field is assigned to.
Index fields cannot be deleted.
