Relations in archive documents
"Relations" are index fields that link related archive documents.
Archive documents belong together if a certain property is identical — for example, the employee number. This property must be configured as a Relation by the xSuite Archive Helix administrator.
A relation is marked with the button
Magic wand. With this button you can access all other archive documents with the same property. Access can be enabled across all archives or be limited to a selection of archives. This button can also be used to copy the value of a relation from another archive document when creating an archive document.
Example
In fleet management, the property “License number” is used for the purpose of allocating company cars in the list of cars, for inbound invoices and in the personnel file.
If the property "Car license plate number" is configured as a relation, you can access all other archive documents from one archive document that have the same car license plate number. For example, you can go directly from an employee's personnel file to his or her vehicle documents and the invoices that have been received for them.
