"Data structure" tab
/WMD/BC_SPRO → xSuite Business Solutions → Interface → Define Record Types
The Data Structure tab is for specifying for each record type which database fields can be used with which values from the respective value table.
Customizing of the data structure must be carried out for header data and possibly also for item data. The data structure defines the possible fields to be populated with extracted data. It is not a prerequisite that a data extraction or other external source fill all fields, but that available fields be defined.
To edit the data structure, switch to the edit mode of record type customizing. Use the button Create proposal to have the tables automatically populated with all available data structures from the defined tables. Once the data structure has been generated automatically, fields can be removed.
Caution
The ITCAT field is required to write the transferred item data to the correct tables, for example, PO for purchase orders, GL for G/L accounts, MT for material, and PD for purchase orders and items.
The consecutive numbers can be automatically updated in steps of 10 with the Renumber button, or manually adjusted on an individual basis.
To generate an entire parked or posted document, multiple pieces of data are required. For parked documents, the minimum required data is the header data; for posted documents, both the header and the item data are required.
Field | Description |
|---|---|
SNo | The sequence number specifies the relative position of the field within the data string. It is advisable to assign the number in steps of 10 so that additional fields can be inserted later. |
Field name | The field name specifies the field to which the value from the data string is written. The field name must be contained in the table entered in the Table name column. |
Short Description | Descriptive name of the technical field name. |
Caution
To interpret amount fields, the currency key (WAERS field) must also always be specified.
