Import and export of workflow definitions
In order to simplify the creation and exchange of workflow definitions, in xSuite it is possible to retrieve workflow definitions from other systems using the import and export function or to distribute them to other systems.
This allows workflow definitions to be created on different systems and imported into the target systems.
In the XF_BUILDER_SYSTEM parameter of the xSuite parameter table, you can specify which system is to be regarded as the definition system.
Importing workflow definitions
Call the transaction /WMD/XF_BUILDER in the SAP GUI or click on the Workflow Builder tile in SAP Fiori.
Enter the object type of the SAP application, for example /WMD/XF_AP.
Click Import WF.
Enter the file path and file name of the desired xSuite workflow definition and confirm with OK.
Exporting workflow definitions
Call the transaction /WMD/XF_BUILDER in the SAP GUI or click on the Workflow Builder tile in SAP Fiori.
Check whether the workflow definitions to be exported are marked with an "R" as in "Released" in the Status column.
Select the workflow definitions to be exported.
Click the Export WF button.
Enter a directory and a file name and confirm with Next.
In the dialog that then appears, confirm the request for the storage location with Allow.
When the notification appears for concluding the process, click to confirm the final message.
