Archived documents and the respective SAP records are linked via ArchiveLink. This means that the archived original documents can also be displayed with the SAP document.

The use of this SAP default setting enables a generic connection to a wide variety of storage systems and existing archives. Use of the communication protocol HTTP is expected. Provided the customer has the necessary infrastructure, HTTPS is also an option that may be supported.

A content repository is used to configure the storage system for document storage for SAP. Several content repositories can be set up for one storage system. Multiple content repositories can be set up for a filing system, and are recommended especially for the protocol type, the HTTP server, and the transfer directory.

You can use any content repositories that already exist. It is recommended that you specify the HTTP content server as the storage type.
