"Maintain Workitem Texts" activity

/WMD/BC_SPRO → xSuite Business Solutions → Workflow → Basis → Basic Settings

Direct access: /WMD/XF_TEXTMAIN

Short texts on workflow tasks and detailed workflow task descriptions are maintained here in the various languages. These texts are displayed to the user in the SAP Business Workplace as work item descriptions.

You can create your own, company-specific terms and text modules. The standard texts are provided in the delivery languages English and German.

Procedure
  1. Call transaction /WMD/XF_TEXTMAIN.

  2. In the Task number field, enter the technical number of the workflow task. Press F4 to open a list of all workflow tasks.

  3. In the Language key field, enter the abbreviation of the language in which you want to maintain texts, such as "DE" or "EN".

  4. Press F6.

    ➣ The edit mode will open.

    Press F7 to open the view mode.

    The workflow task is described in the tab Header. Please note that the description may not be changed later. For information on the fields, see Fields in the "Header" tab.

  5. In the Text tab, define the task text that is displayed as the task text in the SAP Business Workplace or in the Web Business Workplace. You can supplement this description with SAP variables.

  6. In the Description tab, define the text that is displayed in the preview text, in the SAP Business Workplace, and in the Web Business Workplace as soon as a task line has been selected.

  7. Save.

  8. Reset the shared buffer (SE38 → Report /WMD/BC_TLSHB). This serves as a buffer for the text elements in the Web application.

Text

Text that is displayed in the task. Through the use of variables, this field can automatically be populated with various pieces of information important to the workflow.

Workflow definition

The checkbox indicates whether a workflow definition exists for the task.
