The "MagicFields" configuration node
Magic fields are global fields of a document type that automatically link different documents with each other. The links to certain archives can be restricted if so desired.
Creating a magic field
Open Archive Administration.
The path: Archive → configuration node MagicFields.
Enter a name for the magic field.
Click Confirm.
Notice
To open the properties of the magic field directly after creating it, activate the Open node afterwards checkbox.
➤ The magic field has now been created.
➤ You can edit the properties of the magic field.
Editing the properties of a magic field
Open Archive Administration.
Click on a magic field under Archive → MagicFields.
➣ The properties of the index will open.
Select the Fields tab.
Click on
Fields.➣ The New grouping dialog will open.
Enter a name for the field.
Click Confirm.
➣ The field will be added to the list of fields.
Define the following properties:

Archives that are used for automatic linking (optional)
If you do not specify any archives, the system will search for links in all archives.
Notice
It makes sense to specify archives if there are many archives in the system. In this way, the linking can be carried out more quickly.
SupportSameArchive
Controls whether automatic linking within an archive is activated (optional).
Caution
If this property is enabled, downgrading to an older version of xSuite Archive will no longer be possible.

Additional fields that are assigned to the magic field
The additional fields are OR-linked. All fields specified in this property result in a "magic match."
