The Import Manager

The Import Manager is used to monitor and control import jobs. The most important parameters of all existing import jobs are displayed here in tabular form.

You can filter the table based on the job status. The following statuses are available:

Notice

If you select the value All, all import jobs will be displayed.

Status

Description

Failed

The import is aborted with an error.

Aborted

The import was canceled.

Archived

The import is ready, verified and complete.

RetryExceeded

The number of permitted repetitions has been exceeded.

Restarted

Processing has been restarted.

Completed

The import has been successfully completed.

Unknown

Data status is undefined.

Invalid

Import data is not correct.

Retrying

The import job is attempting to restart processing.

Started

The processing procedure has been started.

Waiting

The job is waiting to be processed.

New

The job has newly been created.

Preparing

Import is being prepared.

Paused

Processing is paused.

Pending

The import is pending.

In the Import Manager, you can pause, resume, or delete import jobs. The following buttons are available for this purpose:

The job data is reloaded.

With the exception of jobs that have the status Started or Pending, jobs are not loaded automatically.

Opens a dialog in which you can specify a time period.

Only entries that were created in this period are displayed in the table.

Cancels the processing of one or more selected jobs. The jobs will then receive the status Aborted.

No plausibility check is carried out when canceling. This action only affects jobs that are currently being processed and have the status Started.

prism_archive_fortsetzen_icon.png

Continues the processing of jobs that were previously canceled.

No plausibility check is carried out when resuming. This action only affects jobs with the status Aborted.

Changes the priority of one or more selected jobs.

Notice

Changing priorities might take several seconds.

The following priorities are available:

  • Immediate: Highest priority. Only used for individual documents and ad hoc imports. Not permitted for batch processing.

  • VeryHigh: Very high priority. Used for small amounts of data that require high processing speed and prioritized processing.

  • High: High priority. Used for imports that require processing speed and have a medium data volume.

  • Normal: Normal priority. The standard if there are no special requirements.

  • Low: Low priority. Used for medium to large batches whose processing is not time-critical.

  • VeryLow: Very low priority. Used for large batches whose processing is not time-critical.

  • Lowest: Lowest priority. Used for very large batches whose processing is not time-critical at all.

Deletes one or more selected jobs.

Caution

Jobs should only be deleted by experienced administrators.

When import jobs are deleted, only the management data of the deleted jobs will be removed from the database. If the jobs are configured not to delete import files after a successful import (ImportFileDeleteAction = AfterImport or AfterValidation), the import files will remain in the file system.
