This publication contains information on the installation and administration of xSuite Bus Prism 2.6.0.

To administer xSuite Bus Prism, the administrator or consultant must have basic familiarity with Windows standards and with the applications and user interfaces in Windows.

The back-end components employed are based on Windows technology, but they are exclusively operated by system administrators. This includes the server operating systems and server components.

xSuite Bus Prism is a document-oriented middleware component of the xSuite product range. It mainly provides hosted services for document processing. This includes back-end services for converting various document formats (TIFF, JPG, PNG, PDF, etc.), optical character recognition (OCR) of scanned documents, document classification, and data extraction from captured documents.

The actions (services) of the xSuite Bus system can be grouped into workflows and processed sequentially using the integrated step engine. This makes it possible to use actions repeatedly in different scenarios to map customer requirements.

xSuite Bus Prism also supports explicit parallel processing, which results in better performance when executing actions within a workflow. Ongoing monitoring and system measurement ensure stable program execution.
