Overview of typical user groups
User group | Description | Information on sample role |
|---|---|---|
Administrator | The administrator is the individual responsible for running the solution on the administrative and operational levels. She checks the log files, the protocols, the xSuite Monitor, and the xSuite Cockpit at regular intervals. The administrator often has access across the system and is informed by the system in the case of incomplete agent determination. | |
Key user | The key user is often responsible for the maintenance of agent determination and is the first point of contact in the case of problems among end users. In many companies the key users come from a certain department, e.g. the key users for xSuite Invoice come from the finance department. Depending on how a company is organized, some key-user tasks may also be shared with the administrator. In some companies, the roles "Key User" and "Administrator" are occupied by a single person. | |
Departmental user | In contrast to a key user, a departmental user does not have any comprehensive access to all functions and transactions. Access is limited to functions that are absolutely required for performing tasks in operative business. | |
End user | End users observe certain tasks in the workflow—document approval or release, for instance. Sie can access tasks in the workflow via the SAP GUI or xSuite Web. |
