xSuite Cube Authorization Guide

Introduction

The purpose of this publication is to provide you with orientation in granting authorizations during the implementation of xSuite 5.2.4.

Authorizations in an SAP environment may be complex and cover great scope and detail. The customer or his service provider has the responsibility of putting the authorization concept into practice. If no special agreement has been met, it is not included in the services offered by xSuite Group GmbH.

The SAP authorization system is definitive for all tasks executed either in xSuite by RFC or in SAP in dialog or in the background. Transactions or activities that users normally cannot execute in SAP cannot be executed in xSuite either, nor can they be skipped.

In this publication, we will describe how to manage authorizations in SAP and in xSuite. You can access xSuite from SAP, the SAP NetWeaver portal, xSuite Web, and xSuite Mobile (add-on). The standard xSuite package is delivered with its own SAP authorization objects. In xSuite User Administration, xSuite users can also be set up with xSuite roles, xSuite functions, and xSuite attributes. The agent determination builds upon those xSuite roles and attributes that have been stored for the users.

Note

SAP roles are not delivered. The customer is responsible for creating SAP roles and the necessary SAP and xSuite authorizations.
